Approved Vehicles

  • Must be based on a real-life road car model
  • Drivetrain must match factory specification
  • Conversions permitted if using factory parts

Basic Setup

  • Vehicle Type: Touring car
  • Steering Lock: 20 degrees max
  • Transmission: Sequential or H-pattern
  • Forward Gears: Six (6)

Driving Assists (5 options)

  • ABS
  • Live brake balance adjustment
  • Shift light
  • Handbrake
  • Starter motor

Drivetrain Options

  • Front-wheel drive (FWD)
  • Rear-wheel drive (RWD)
  • Four-wheel drive (4WD)

Mass Requirements

Car Mass 1230 kg (without driver/fuel)
Total Mass 1300 kg (with driver, no fuel)
Fuel Tank 30 liters max
COG Height 0.270 min (above ground)

Important: Car weight must be measured with the driver in the car.

Weight Distribution

  • Front-engine: Max 50% rear axle
  • Mid-engine: 55% max front or rear
  • Rear-engine: Max 40% front axle

Appearance and modeling requirements

Car Body Rules

  • Exterior must resemble real-life model
  • Fenders may be modified for tire clearance
  • Small touring car-style front wing may be added
  • Small touring car-style rear wing may be added
  • Tires must not clip through wheel arches at full lock

LOD (Level of Detail)

  • LOD1: Primary high-detail model (required)
  • LOD2: Shadow and collision mesh (required)
  • LOD3: Collision mesh alternative (optional)

Collision mesh must follow outer body lines of LOD1. Skin template must be applied to all LODs.

Mass Distribution Rules

  • All object masses must be within car's mass frame
  • Tube masses must follow LOD1 wireframe
  • All masses within LOD3 collision mesh
  • Wheel masses must not extend beyond LOD1 arches
  • Driver position: Left or Right (not center)

Skin & Livery

  • Must include functional skin template
  • Windshield banner with "World Touring 2000" logo
  • In-car driver name/number sticker (recommended)
  • No real-world company logos in LFS mods database
  • Real racing liveries: upload to lfs.net/account/skins
